XII Conference on Social Sciences and Religion in Argentina

The theme of the conference covers the links between religion and other social spheres - such as art, sport, humour, economics, politics, sexuality, ethnicity, health or food -; the production of classifications that incorporate the elusive concept of spirituality; the effects of power involved in the action of naming, recognizing and distinguishing; the disputes surrounding taxonomies and their scope; the dynamics of the institutional fact that comprises the processes of deinstitutionalization and reinstitutionalization of the religious; the formation of groups, congregations, congregations, groups, congregations and their scope; the disputes surrounding taxonomies and their scope; the dynamics of the institutional fact that comprises the processes of deinstitutionalization and reinstitutionalization of the religious; the formation of groups, congregations, communities and social collectives identified with certain expressions of the sacred.

Continuing the tradition of the Jornadas de Ciencias Sociales y Religión, we encourage interdisciplinary dialogues and the study of different fields from plural perspectives. We therefore invite the participation of professionals, teachers and students from different fields: sociology, anthropology, ancient, medieval and modern history, theology, mythology, art-related disciplines.
